Payment schedule

A payment schedule breaks the payment of a piece into several dated instalments. By the end of this page, you will know how to create a schedule, record the payment of each instalment and track delays.

It is the tool for staged payments: deposit then balance, monthly instalments, a supplier settled over time. SynkriaOps tracks each instalment and alerts you to delays:

  • Plan — spread an amount due over several dates.
  • Track — always know which instalments are paid, upcoming or overdue.
  • Anticipate — feed the cash flow forecast with reliable dated flows.
  1. Open the piece

From an invoice (customer or supplier), open the Schedule section.

  2. Add the instalments

Create the instalments automatically (number of monthly payments, frequency) or manually (one line per date and amount). The instalment total must cover the amount due.

  3. Save

The schedule is active: each instalment appears in the tracker, with its date and status.

  1. Open the piece’s schedule.

  2. On the settled instalment, click Record payment.

  3. The instalment moves to the paid status; the piece’s remaining due is recomputed.

Settling an instalment contributes to the piece’s settlement: as soon as the total of paid instalments covers the amount, the piece is settled and matching updates. The schedule organises the calendar; matching records the payment.
