Install the mobile app and sign in

The SynkriaOps mobile app is in early access. This page explains how to get it, sign in and secure it.

Early-access distribution

The app is not available on the Play Store or the App Store. It is distributed internally, as a preview build: an Android install file (APK) to sideload manually. Improvements then arrive over the air, without reinstalling. Contact your SynkriaOps representative to receive the install link.

Install the app (Android)

1. Receive the link

   Your SynkriaOps contact sends you an install link to the APK file.

2. Allow the install

   Android asks you to allow installing apps from an “unknown source” for your browser or file manager. This is normal for an app distributed outside the store: accept.

3. Install

   Open the downloaded file and follow the install. The SynkriaOps icon appears on your home screen.

Updates happen on their own

Once installed, the app updates over the air on launch: you get the latest improvements without downloading a new file. A manual reinstall is only needed for a major technical change, which your contact will flag.

Sign in

1. Open the app and enter your SynkriaOps email and password (the same as on the web).

2. If two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled on your account, enter the requested code.

3. You land on the Activity screen, the app’s dashboard.

Sign in with the same credentials as on the web.

If a sign-in error occurs

The app distinguishes causes: wrong password, too many attempts, no network, or a temporarily unavailable server. The message tells you what to do — most often, check the connection and try again.

Choose your company file (multi-tenant)

If your account has access to several company files (an accounting firm), the active file is shown at the top of the capture screen. To switch:

1. Open the Settings tab.

2. Select the desired file from the list.

3. The cache is purged immediately: no data from one file leaks into another, even on a shared phone.

Enable the biometric lock

To protect the display of your financial data, enable unlocking by fingerprint or face recognition:

On first access, the app has you create a 4-digit code.

Every time you come back, the code (or biometrics) protects your data.

1. Settings tab → Biometric lock.

2. Turn on the option and confirm with your biometrics.

Available depending on the device

The biometric lock requires a sensor (fingerprint or face) and its enrolment in the phone. If your device doesn’t have one, the option is honestly shown as unavailable.

Push notifications

Enable push notifications (Settings) to be alerted to important events. Tapping a notification opens the relevant screen directly (for example the capture queue). Like biometrics, notifications depend on the device and on your permission.
